Is a 06 polaris 900 that bad??

my dad has one, its a 05 he loves it,just gotta get them to run,slp single pipe/cam,slp airbox or a homemade one,slp torque stops, push arms, remove the rad ect.... PM rideguy....he'll tell you every thing you need and want to know!!!

they just got a bad rep because they really were released without enough testing. now that people have owned them for a couple years and worked out all the problems i think you will see them remain strong in years to come as a mountain sled. I had a 06 900 sb with a 153 skid and after getting it set up right it was awesome. the motor itself is really good. i put about 5500 hard miles on mine and then did a rebuild. I think you will see more aftermarket support in the future as these sleds get bought up.

I have one, '06 900 151.... Love it.

It is true though, they built some good ones and they built some not-so-good ones.... crank problems :\

I have been riding one for several years. Lots of mods and runs out great. I just got tired of defending them on this forum and just let the machine speak for itself when its out there.

Doo some mods and they are nice machines.

It is getting some nice new Holz mods after this pic taken.

If you beleive the forums, every sled out there is a POS. The only one who know's what's going on is Graveler. Ask him about the 900, and see if it's a good enough sled to ride. :D

I've seen some good running 900's out there. If you enjoy it, that's all that matters anyways. I've only riddin one, and it seemed to run about the same as the 800's. It was a little heavier, but it ran good.

The part i bolded is probably one of the smartest things i have ever read on any forum

Its not that I beleive the forums it that everybody else does. I am trying to sell it and there isn't a hole lot of interest in it. I love it and I will keep it if I dont sell it I just want less of a payment that is the only reason I am selling it. Thanks for all the great posts. Chaz

what motor do you have planned??

900 with slp performance edition kit and Boondockers Synergy adjustable nitrous kit, probably run 50-60 shot in rpm and throttle position range.
I've posted the rebuild on Polaris forum for a total list of things to come.
Thanx for the reply, its my first total tear down and rebuild, I'm having a lot of fun!! :D

I ride a 08 nytro mtx, but I ride with a polaris 900 guy. We switch rides all the time, I cant sayanything bad about it. tons of power. I know my bud has it set up mint. as long as it snows it's all good.
