Well, we made it through the event with only one big crash. We were very happy with the racer turnout, but unfortunately we did have to move to single elimination at one point because we did not have time to do double. We wanted to make sure everyone got at least a run in. We are extremely sorry to those that did not get double elimination.

The snow pounded us for the first half of the day and then the weather went back and forth between sunny and cloudy. We had to run the groomer several times to fix "pot hole" like symptoms from the warm weather.

A huge thanks to 4 Eagle Ranch, Eagle Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Holy Cross Powder Hounds. There was a lot of time spent making this happen. A big thanks to the volunteers who got up early and stayed late.

We have already taken notes on how to improve for next year. We are open to "subjective" criticism. More volunteers could make a difference next year.

We had one really big crash in the Unlimited class. A turbo Apex/Rx1 had a big spill but the racer was OK (there might be some used turbo stuff for sale soon). Thanks to Search and Rescue for being on site.

Special thanks to Extreme Performance (Dealer), American National Bank, Napa (PST Enterprises), Coors, PlumTV (interviews, coverage, etc) for their banner sponsorship.

We had several great door prizes and Open class sponsors from F-Bomb racing, The Clinic (sled shop), Snow Big Deal, TDS, RTP, Eagle Embroidery, A&W Interiors, Beyond the Tree Woodworks, Johny's Electric, Max Liquors (Gypsum), Drive Train Industries, Braap Films, Central Distributing, JP Trucking, Master Sealers and several club members.

Thanks to Carl Rose for all the grooming efforts.

I had a great time just watching all the action. My girlfriend had a great time racing for her first time (first year on a sled, and only an hr on the 600 she raced). I'd be willing to help out doing whatever next year, (Gusty knows this already).
Really the only changes I'd say would be a microphone to call out classes and only being able to run a couple classes/sled/person....The first hr or so was just the same 3 or 4 sleds. That was great action but I heard a lot of people (both racers and watchers) got bored watching the same ones over and over. BUT it was a great event I know we'll will be back next year!!

Thanks for putting on the event it was a great time. Parking was great, location was great, food/beer(i wasn't racing) was good, I had a good time!

Run the mountain class first,I'm sure that the 2 guys that raced eachother in the trail class for 3 hours wouldn't mind being put into single elim.
