05 RMK 900 max RPM 7500

Hey all,

I was told once that @ full throttle the 900 should sit at 7850 what would cause this to be low?? what adjustments are there?? What is the average top speed of a stock 900, Mine is only hit 120kph that seems low.

What size track are you running?

Any modifications? Pipe can etc ?

Belt wear would be a start...
7850 is high if it's stock and it's about right if it's got a 975 kit....
Think of your 900 like a diesel, lots of torque that will go about anywhere just not at porsche speed's...I don't know that I've ever had mine past 90 kph.
Your peak HP and Torque are in the 7200 RPM range +- in stock form...
7600 +- with an SLP Perf Package and about 7800 +- with a 975 kit...
What do you have under the hood???

drop a gram of weight off the primary will up your rpm's
7850-7950 rpm is if you have the re flash 7400-7500 is normal for stock

I have my 05 900 geared down to 19-43 and still hit 120 km/h. Stock sled should rev about 7500 and if you have a pipe 7800.

Thanks guys,

It is a stock sled no mods so i guess I was misinformed. I know that shes isnt going to get speeds like the 900 Fusion but I figured that 120 was low. I have before hit speed of 130-135 with still room to go. So now when I top out at 120 I figure some thing must be wrong.

To make thing worse I found this out crossing a pond when a friends son went past me on his 800 Mountain Cat. OOOhhhh the shame!!!!!
