I would like to have a contest at Hawkfest, we have discussed having a speed contest which could be fun. I think it might be fun to have an
"anything you can do I can do better" contest. The first rider does a run and then the second rider does the same. Jumps, sidehills, whatever people want to do.
What do you guys think. I would like to invite traditional sleds too. Hawkfest riding days are Feb 16-17 and an early ride on the 18th at Schriebers meadows.

Hey snowhawkaddict I was just reading one of your posts in another Forum and you said you didn't even know how to ride one let alone do the maintenance on one. I also thought I would post this and see if it helps you out with your buddies.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Snow Hawks wear and tear-of course they get that wa

The reason our machines get so thrashed is becuase we let anybody and everybody ride our machines. Try getting some jackoff with a new sled let you ride it. On Snow Hawkfest we probably had over 25 people ride our machines. New riders thrash your machines. It happens and we pay the price for it. We've never asked anyone to pay for damage or even gas for that matter. Yes some people give money to help pay for gas but that's not the reasoning. Tony loves having new people try the machines. I see you ride an older sled, how many people do you know would notice that and say hey buddy how about we switch sleds and you ride my new dragon all day and I'll ride your sled. Not happening. So your comments about our maintenance are noted but you don't even understand why we have machines that are down. One of our machines went over the falls and crashed. So obviously maintence is required. Thank god he knows how to work on them, not only for us but the 200 or so people that seem to call us from 5 am to 12:30 pm on a daily regular basis.
So if you ever see us out there feel free to ask any hawk rider to ride on it. They are durable and so far the guys that I have seen riding it are all about letting other people ride then regardless of the results.
Besides this post was about Hawkers getting together at Snow Hawk fest and having a race not anything about any one elses sled. If you ever see me out there I ride an 1982 Yamaha enticer with big pink daisies and I love it!!
