Unhappy 800D owner

Good Afternoon
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issues as me with what they are calling intermitent throttle response, simply put it cuts out unless you hold it wide open,it has been sitting at a Polaris shop with only about 240 miles on it and they cant find the problem, yes the hand warmer updates have been done (no change) any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated
Thank You

Still haven't heard of a fix yet but do know that Polaris is working on the situation. They are aware of the issue with no known fix yet.

I just got back home from a short afternoon ride and yes I am having the same problem. I started a post a couple of days ago (800 DRAGONS cutting out) but seems most people on here thought I was just posting to stir some crap. I posted that my buddys sled was in the shop and yes Polaris was working on line with the mechanics to figure it out, was in contact with my friend at noon and his sled isn't fixed yet. Oh well I guess when and if this happens to them they will be believers.

I have 2 and 1 is doing the same thing, I thought it might be the masive amounts of snow in the intake, I've tried to seal it the best I can and there is still water in the airbox

Could the sleds still be getting air in the fuel rails despite the FVS?

it souds like my 07 700 sort of an intermittant stumble/bog at 7k ish
very hard to duplicate

what is FVS

I talked to my cousin who used to work at a yamaha dealership a few years back. He said they had a bunch of sleds come back one year because they were having the same problem of cutting out. What they found was that the plugs they were running didnt have the resistor in it, so they switched to the plugs with resistors and it solved the problem. Its just a thought, I'm not sure what kind of plugs they run but I hope they figure something out. I should get the call today to go pick up my 163 in MINNESOTA

Very UNHAPPY Dragon owner

Just to give everyone an update we have checked everything that you had mentioned and no luck,Polaris is still working on it but does not have an answer as to when or what will happen,in the meantime thank you for all your advice and Happy Snowmobiling PS anyone who has an issue that is related please post it

I'm told this could be the throttle cable stretching slightly (braking in) Too much slack here and it can throw the TPS off. Looks to be a simple adjustment.

Ok I am in Valemount and my Dragon started doing this for the first time, had no sign of it in Revy but this is what it feels like too me. This sled was running like it is lean in the midrange when I am at leaving the parking lot and working my way up the hill, even sounds lean. As I get higher up it runs perfect and runs fine all day long, then on my way down I can tell it starts running leaner and leaner. My thought is that what ever they are using to sense bar. pressure is malfunctioning because it did run fine in Revy, the only thing I did is jump the ditch at home before I loaded back up to go, did I jar something loose? Not sure.

Check the spark plug caps. Are they easy to pull off? Is there too much diaelectic( spelling???) grease on them. Wipe some of the grease off, with a Q-tip and rag.

I think the caps pop on and off too easy. I will put locking caps (NGK racing on them soon.

My $.02

800 Dragon issues

Just to give you an update we have run out of things to look at and the dealer has not been able to figure it out along with Polaris, does anyone know what our rights are as a customer or can Polaris drag this along till the end of the season without figuring it out,do we have the right to request our money back??????????? Please help me out:mad:

KUINY don't push the panic button yet its only been a few days, I know it seems like forever with newyears and all but lets give it alittle more time. Don't know the legal side of things but you gotta know Polaris does'nt want this sorta thing haunting them. I'm hoping to hear something by friday ! Good luck and make sure to post if they figure it out so we can all get this taken care of.

diaelectric?? If you wipe all the grease off you should loose about 2pds, and gain some track speed- After I put the NGK racing plugs in I couldn't keep the skis down- I also mounted my sled deck to the back of my 163, so I could load my buddies broke XP's on the back.
