Storage space always seems to be at a premium on sleds these days, so I keep my eye out for opportunities to add a little extra capacity in an unobtrusive way.

One of the things I most dislike about ordering parts online is the inability to Touch and Feel the product. To hold it in your hands and look at it Up Close and In Person. So in my reviews I always try to show the product exactly as it really is, and that means LOTS of closeup high res photos!

When you open the lid there is a nice LARGE snowskirt!

The "lid" is kinda-sorta semi-rigid. Not hard formed, but stiff enough to hold it's form nicely.
picture.php

The base of the bag on the inside is RIGID molded plastic.
picture.php

While the outside of the bottom has been covered in cloth to reduce any abrasion from contact. The Linq mechanism can clearly be seen nestled nice and tight right up in the very front of the bag.

Reverse angle on the bottom showing how this bag "Flares" out toward the seat side and narrows towards the rear of the sled.

My particular sled is a 2017 850 Summit-X with PULL-START.
This means that I had to install the optional "Battery Cover" before the Ergo Summit Seat Bag could be mounted.

This is the optional plastic battery cover that must first be installed as the support for the Summit Ergo Bag.

The plastic battery cover requires a small lightweight aluminum support frame to be installed as well.

picture.php

Installation begins on the rear of the Fuel Tank.
picture.php

The support frame is held in place with a single screw.

Looking at the frame from the rear of the sled.

With the frame in place, the plastic cover slides right over it and the two holes next to the LINQ logo are aligned to match up with the support frame.

The LINQ attaching device is then bolted on.
picture.php

With the frame mounted and the cover in place with the LINQ system bolted on, the bag slides into place and locks right down just as happy as could be.

Total installation time MAYBE 10 minutes tops.

Will load this up and take it our riding this weekend.
Will offer comments on how well it works, if it keeps water out and if my legs or boots hit it when moving from side to side on the sled once I get back!

Does the bag impede your feet crossing over the sled?
I have a few things in my XM trunk that wont fit my tunnel bag..
I like to move around on the sled Alot and I may go with the handle bar bag instead.
Ya!ya!ya! no need for wrong foot forward on gen4!?!
Yep!

HONESTLY DON'T KNOW YET
I will have an answer for you on this come SATURDAY NIGHT.
Its pretty much my #1 question as well!

I have a pullstart too, pretty expensive with the plastic cover to buy.

Can you take a picture with some stuff in it?

Will see if its a go or no go !

Thx

Ya, I was NONE too happy about having to buy the battery cover.
Did not realize that it was needed when I ordered the little bag.

Have no photos of it with goggles or gloves in it yet.

Did not notice my boot ever hitting it though.

First Use feedback.

One of the concerns expressed is whether or not there would be BOOT contact with this little bag and the rider moved from one side of the sled to the other.

While I never noticed my boot touching the bag, I DID find the bag DISLOCATED from the seat. Clearly at some point during the day my boot hit is strongly enough to pull the forward mounting tab out of the slot beneath the seat.

The rear LinQ mount was rock solid and prevented the bag from coming off the sled. It was super simple to reinsert the tab under the seat and keep on riding.

This only happened once in 3 days of riding.

Otherwise the little bag worked great for storing my auxiliary lenses for my KLIM Occulus goggles.

I have this bag a bit disappointed with the space and usefulness . I also was looking for a bag that would cover the area of the Battery box including this bag, that would be over double the volume and a more usable shape.

I have no issue with this bag as far as movement it is no worse than the XM seat bag. It is just to small, now with Shot there will be no more need for batteries so a full size bag would make even more sense.
