I there i im looking at buying a wreaked sled well not really wrecked. They say that it needs a new driveshaft. Witch im very certain in that but don't know what else would be wrong in the picture

The first picture is from somebody else but just showing you that the hole thing looks bent
I might can get a better pic of the right sled

All you can tell by the picture is a driveshaft. Few hundred dollars or less and about 2 hours of your time.

Call the seller, they should know what the sled needs.

Use caution if buying this sled unseen. I bought a truck from them this spring and they lied about several things.

yea i know that wasn't the right sled but was just showing you a example.
now i have went and saw the sled in person and to me it looks like the plate or what ever its called in first picture is bent along with it

i have bought a truck from them and repaired it i have had good luck with them to

here is a another photo any by the way there asking 8900 for it to

My .02 is to run away, very fast.

1) It's uncommon for the drive shaft to separate on that side.

2) Ask yourself, "why wasn't this repaired under warranty"?

3) Is the QD alright?

4) Any parts of the bulk head broken and is the tunnel bent (look at both sides)?

5) Did the skid get damaged some how?

$8900 is too much. I bought two 2016 163 3" Snowchecks for $9500/ea, both were straight. One was 600 miles, the other 400

I haven't seen an aftermarket plate yet for the Axys to replace the bent ones. On ProRide chassis, VanAmburg made a few different versions, all were well made and easy to install. Without the plate, or access to a water jet or laser to cut you a plate it could be tough....

I did a little research on this sled as I was looking at buying it also. this isnt just a driveshaft failure like some of the sleds have done over the years. This sled hit a rock in very low snow conditions last year, thats why it has very few miles and wasnt fixed under warranty. the insurance company bout this sled but for some reason it doesnt have a salvaged title or damage disclosure with it.

Its going to take much more then a drive shaft to fix it right. It does have chassis damage to it. they want WAY too much money for it! dont be fooled. Eric

That sleds been there for quite a while.

$8900? Maybe $5900... I'd sell my 16 axys all day for $8900 if I was buying a 17 and it's straight as an arrow

Pretty much nailed it!!!

Steer clear at that price!!

So I'm guessing that this company buys insurance vehicles that have damage and tries to sell them to people who "should" understand that the damage created an opportunity to get them cheap.

But I agree, that price is now where near as cheap as it should be. No offense, but it doesn't sound like you are ready to take on an unknown damaged sled and make it work out. If others are letting it sit there, there is a reason.
