I'm refering to the Core Saver. Yeah, I knowI know, it's not a tek vest or B-wear. And I was going to give the B-wear a try, but this looks like a good option. I'm the guy always looking for something not so hot and bulky.
Removable front chest plate. Articulating spine protection. Padding in all the right places. The foam padding is perferated similar to that used in the Klim tek vest. By that I mean vented. Fits next to the skin like a jersey and appears to be a moisture wicking fabric. Gives good kidney protection and a belt.
I've had quite a few people asking about these for sledding this year. I think we may be on to something here. Or, at least a step in the right direction. What do you snowester's think?

Pretty similar to the one I just bought from EVS Sports. The EVS sports one has built-in kidney belt/lumbar belt. Much more mobile than the bulky tek-vest. It sound like the B-wear ones are good as well, but I wanted something smaller with elbow pads.

I have used the SixSixOne Pressure suit for a number of years and haven't hurt myself at all in a few scrapes, very similar to what your looking at except has shoulder elbows and forearm protection all hung mesh. Generally only need a t-shirt under it as all the panels are warm.

Good Luck

Cool but ....

That looks pretty cool, I like the built in back belt.

Only question is this "Is the only protection from a frontal the pad in the middle?"

I'm trying the B Wear this year, and figuring it will replace my mid layer. B

I wore the Core Saver all last year. Had quite a few hits to the chest, couple to the ribs and one to the back. No bruises, no injuries. It does have some padding on the sides to cover up your ribs. The back is long and goes all the way down my spine. The front, not long enough to cover the tummy/ girl parts. lol Other than that, it has worked great. SUPER comfy. Does not bind, the shoulders are made so that they lay over your shoulders, no moulding needed. It doesn't seem to be as "hot" as the Tek or the Bwear (I've worn both). The material they use is very moveable and stretchy. It's biggest downfall, the zipper is on the side, sometimes it is a bit hard to get to. That and they offer a s/m and m/l. It won't fit small people or the large guy.

I'd recommend it to most riders. If you are jumping 200' and doing backflips... I'm really not sure what you need, but not sure this would take those kinds of hits.

That must be an old picture. I believe they made some updates. I just tried it on again. Slipped it on just like a shirt. Maybe harder for women  . The chest plate on the current model has wings coming off of either side that actually cover the ribs. :)
I've been using the evs revo 4 for a few years now. Taken a few hits (dirt and snow) with that and always came out smiling. I just always liked the idea of a little more coverage around the mid section and this has it. Sure fits nice too. Very conforming.
Oh, and I wanted to thank Coyote Girl for the nice write up/ product review. Very informative since you've worn them all.

I have used the SixSixOne Pressure suit for a number of years

I used to use one of those for quite a while too. They do work good. I think they are the ultimate all over body armour. They work great for bouncing off of trees for dirtbiking as well. I just felt a little too confined when I had a jacket on over it.

I wear the Pressure Suit when riding and biking. i like it! BUT, the chest protection is not as firm or thick as you may think. Im not to thrilled about the chest protection but another than that, I like it! It has saved me from pain a few times this year already on the 800. :)

It is safer than the Moto X style chest pads though (Roost Deflectors)...trust me, I know! ;)
(for the past 5 seasons i have been wearing the Moto X pads...glad i switched!)

Next season, I think i may buy a B-Wear vest and modify it with arm pads.
