Ethanol free

The new big Prostop gas station on 12600 south and 2000 ish west has a pump for 91 ethanol free. All the others I have found are "only" 88.

Its in Riverton. Just west of redwood road on the south side of 12600 south. They have 110 race fuel at the pump as well.

It's about $4/gal at the Pro Stop. I tested the 91 ethanol in hopes that maybe it was from the same tank as the 91 non-ethanol and a buck cheaper but no luck. I also tested the 91 non-ethanol to confirm that it contains no ethanol.

91 Octane Ethanol-Free Fuel

I purchased some fuel on Saturday from ProStop. I paid $3.99 a gallon for it. However they replaced the 110 race fuel they were selling with the 91 ethanol-free fuel. It is easy to find on the west side of the station with the bright red handle :face-icon-small-hap

Has anyone checked the ProStop in Draper, just south of the Harmons and the east side of I15 at Bangerter? I wonder if they have non-Ethanol.

The one in Riverton is like 2 minutes from my house, but if the one in Draper had it then for those traveling down I15 it would be easy to jump off and get it.

Pretty sure the draper one has it. My dad stopped by there the other day. No 110 octane at either station. Where are people going to get the 110 fuel?

There is an oil distributor on Holden St in Midvale west of I15 with a little gas station in front of it. Can't remember the name, but they sell race fuel. I think they are DalSoglio or something like that?

Went by the prostop off bangerter today. NO 91 Eth free?

I have to question whether anyone has ethanol free that is 91 octane unless they are doing a custom blend. Since the federal mandate to include ethanol, the highest octane "clear" gas that any of the refineries in the intermountain west make is 88. Since adding ethanol increases the octane level of gas, the refineries blend in ethanol to raise the octane of 88 to 91. If you can find someone who knows at the station, it would be interesting to quiz them on where they get their ethanol free 91 from. If they say it comes from the refinery that way, then it's probably not 91. I don't know of any way to determine the true octane without sending the gas off to a lab for testing.

Yeah, I don't know on the octane other than it says 91 on the pump. And my buddy has run 3 tanks of it through his pump gas turbo and not blown it up. :)
