On Tuesday, the groomer was coming up the middle fork as I was going down. I passed him just above Whites Ridge. I wouldn't call it a groomed road, more like bad moguls with pretty lines on top. If you're a bull rider or need to practice for snow cross, that's the place to be.
That sucks
Just like last week!
Soooo we don't have snow for half the year and don't have to groom, now we have snow and still don't groom worth a c^#p
So much for the big new groomer with the "mogul masher" that is buried under the snow at Tree Phones waiting to take a sled out!

How was the snow today?
Bad day a Tree Phones...
First thing yesterday (Sunday) we arrive at the Tree Phones warming shed in time to see a old Yamaha in flames. A father and son team had stopped to build a fire in the shed and son looks out to see his sled in flames!
Fast forward to dad shoveling snow like a madman and not making much headway on getting the fire out. I pulled out my shovel and we managed to get it out while gas was running out in a stream from the fuel tank and my riding partner tipping the sled to stop the gas from running out to keep it out.
Both sides of the sled look the same a total loss, but the young man wasn't hurt so life is good

That's too bad. Bet that kid is bummed. Good job helping out.

There are sure a lot of whiners out there about the grooming ..Back in the day they had no groomers sleds had no suspension .. The new sled take away those moguls.When you get so much snow at one time it is impossible to make a groom trail perfect then you have riders that tear it up before it has time to set up .. So you mambie pambies should stay home..till the snow is gone and whine about what ****ties snow year it was .. I don't groom trails and I don't know who does Just stirring the pot !!! Have a nice Day !!!!

Lots of rain and warm temps since last Tuesday. Middle fork was groomed yesterday - don't know how far he got. North Fork has bare spots. The forecast is for drier and warm this week, but at least it will freeze overnight. Basically, conditions are deteriorating rapidly. Lots of water in the creeks and probably over the groomed trail in spots. The groomer did try to clean out some ditches mid-week.

Lots of water in the creeks and probably over the groomed trail in spots. The groomer did try to clean out some ditches mid-week.

Definitly Deteriorating
We went up on Saturday and it was rain up to 6500'. We got back to the truck about 4:30 and weighed probably another 100 lbs from the water. It kind of sucked but it was still riding and at least the snow wasn't hard as a bullet. So get it in while you can guys. Sorry for no pictures, it was just too dang wet.

Does anyone know if you can still ride out of the parking lot as of today 3/15/14, and how was the snow up high?

He didn't mention if the berm was still up, but it sure sounds like it.
I will be up there tomorrow with Mtnmax97, Summ8rmk and Ribeye1. 94FG will join us after he does his duties with the SkiBenders Champagne Brunch. I will keep an eye out for ya.
