Installing a 2014 engine into a 2011 Pro RMK Chassis

What is all needed? New ECM or can the 2011 ECM Be reflashed? New injectors. will the 2011 Fuel rail fit the 2014 injectors? Any other Help will be greatly Appreciated. Buddy found a New 800, 2014 engine but is interested in any thing else needed for a successful swap before He pulls the trigger on buying the 2014 Mill. I did use the search function, but did not find what I was looking for.

Drop it in and ride. Use your old injectors and ecm that are color matched. Don't even need to reprogram the ecm. Just dropped a 14 long block into my husbands 12.

Problem is the '11 has different Injectors than the rest, Not sure if the 12' thru 14's are running the same injector?

A buddy of mine put '12 injectors in his '11 and I believe had the ECU reflashed.

You can use the newer motors with your 11 ecu and injectors. If you want to use 12 or newer injectors you need to have a 12 ecu. You can't reprogram the 11 ecu to use 12 and newer injectors. You can start with a brand new blank ecu and tell it to program as a 12 and it will work. The Digital Wrench won't let you change the year programmed in to the ECU.

If you want to use a 13/14 ECU then there are wiring changes and you have to change the gauge as well as in 13 they went to the ethanol being a setting in the computer and not a set of jumper wires.

Thanks for the help, buddy decided to go with Indy Dans Long Rod motor, can't beat the peice of mind a 3 year warranty

All you have to do is run the injector spacers from the 12 or newer correct?
