This is my riding buddies sled. He hit a tree and buckled the right footwell.
Neither of us have any experience repairing this type of accident. Hopefully he doesn't need a new tunnel..

From doing some research were hoping to straighten the kink in the tunnel.
Maybe use a porta power? or have a body shop straighten it..
Then purchase plates from Van Amburg or Kmod and put her back together.

Any info regarding tools that can help us and the best way to tackle this is greatly appreciated. Our season is near and I need him ready to Braaaaaaaaaaappp:face-icon-small-hap

Thanks, Ryan

Saw a buddy of mine with the same thing...

He straightened it out and slapped some PAR (i think that stands for Power Addiction Racing and the dude's name is Brad I think) bracing on it and rode the heck out of it.

Same thing happened to me and my buddies.

Drop the skid and then remove the aluminum bar in the front suspension mount and then bolt that back into the tunnel to keep the tunnel from bowing out when you try to straighten it. Take the over structure off.

Then I used a porta power to straighten it. Once it's relatively straight, lightly tap the kinks with a hammer. That will help everything come back to where it was.

Then clamp it straight and brace that area up. I used KMOD braces. And now over the top of that, some Fastrax braces that 4Z on here is making.

The KMOD brace replaces the existing piece which is quite a bit of work (removal of the chaincase). The Fastrax braces are very easy to install and will work wonders preventing future carnage.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info man, I'll reach out to 4Z, I think he's local to me..
Don't want to tear whole sled apart so the easier plates to install would be best for me.

I made these out of 6061 alum and a bandsaw if you are trying to save cash. I have seen the van AMBURG chromoly braces on the snow but no other brands personally
