They work fine. Four 162's in a 7x29. You have to load from the front and it is a stagger load.

Would imagine they tow better too. I have a denial xl and tow with a 22' floe, open. I think I could pull 22, but probably not anymore.

I don't know, mine gets pulled with a d-max. That is supposed to be a selling point of the 7 wide that it pulls easier.

My 2 cents

Mine is a featherlite 7 x18 and loads 3 155 real nice . I love this trailer put Linex on the floor when it was brand new -the only way to go !

have seen triton's line...7' wide....do they work well for haulin sleds? or stick with 8'?

I think my 7x21 v nose 3800lbs pulled as easy as my 11ft 800lb clamshell. This was with a 2010 f150. Fuel economy was within .5-1 mpg of each other also. I would never go back to 8ft wide trailer

I've been towing a 7x27 United trailer for 4 years and they do pull nice, way better than a Wells 8 footer. Make sure the tongue is long enough to clear your tailgate. Some are really short and your gate will rest on the jack. :face-icon-small-dis

Good point, my buddy's is like that.

I have a 7x27
Will fit 4 (mix of 151, 153, 154 & 163) facing forward fairly easy.
Would be extra room if loaded from front, but I like them fairly tight to minimize movement in trailer.

If you tow long distance.....
Go 7' wide
&
Go aluminum (spend a little more up front & it will look good for years longer than rusty steel)

#### Yeah, and make sure you always park straight too !! We saw a cat have his truck at an angle to the trailer. Hopped out and whipped the tailgate down right into the top of the jack !! That'll Leave A Mark !!! >>>>.

That's what I need. How long is the box, and how long is the V? All 7x18s I see are rated for two sleds. How do you "arrange" them in the trailer?

I was a bit skeptical of the 7' wide trailers and always towed a 8.5' wide trailer. I started looking for a new trailer in fall and waited till I found a deal. I was going to buy a used Mirage Xtreme sport that I was set on. Sold before I got there. Next deal we came upon was a ebay deal froma dealer out in Michigan. Was hard to pass on a 7x27 all aluminum brand new for $6K. Made a dealer and had the trailer delievered to North Dakota for pickup. Trailer has an unlined interior that I will work on over summer, but 2300 lbs empty weight is real nice.

Trailer is a MTI. Fit and finish is acceptable, but not fantastic. Trailer tows like a dream. Can't feel it behind you and my fuel mileage is so much better than our 8.5'. On a recent trip to Fernie with three machine (2200km round trip) I averaged a hair over 15 mpg with my 04 Ram CTD cruising at 115-120km/h the entire trip. On that trip we had 1-136, 2-146, and a 162 and had room to spare.

Overall, would not go back to a 8.5' wide trailer unless I had a need for the extra width for something other than sleds.

We always put 5 sleds in my 7x29. 1-144", 1-153",2-155", and 1-163" its real tight but it works really nice. Also, the trailer is a triple axle and would never go back to two axles after having 3. It pulls like a dream.

Yeah I had a 6.6 x28 that hauled 4 inline but it was a steel Haulmark and was low to the ground so I drug on the ground alot.

That is the only thing I don't like about an inline.
It would be easy to weld a 1/4" plate under each rear corner to act as a "sacrificial anode" so to speek.
Still sound nasty when rubbing, but actually hurting nothing.

The only time it happens is entering or leaving roadway where there is a dip in the transition from road to parking lot.
