oil reservoir

I have warped threads on my oil reservoir and was wondering if it was a common problem and if so is ski doo warrent this issue or not? Its a 09 summit x

Heck ya they doo got mine replaced a couple weeks ago! There are realy good about some things.

Ya it is a very common thing. I just changed mine out for a new one over the weekend. Hopefully it will put an end to the oil mess all over my engine bay.

I thought mine was the cap but according to the mess I had every day last week it must be the reservoir.

x3, the insert is a great inexpensive fix, it worked awesome on my sled.
I tried to get the oil tank replaced but it was going to cost about 250$$$. before i went for it, a friend told me about danrev03's insert. he saved me a whack of $$$

holy moly .. $250 to swap a tank is a chunk of cash ..

have many inserts in stock so i can ship within 24hrs of received payment .. thanks guys for all the feedback ..

Dan03rev's insert works great, stopped the leaking 100%. If your sled isn't under warranty this a great inexpensive alternative.

Mine is extremely warped . Had a hell of a time getting it undone last week, and I know I never tightened it that much!!
