Snowest becoming a PAY SITE?????

Well the rumor is flying around that before the end of the month Snowest will become a "pay site"

How many users will move on if this is the case?

I would definitely be moving on! After how they chopped the forum into a bunch of little sub-categories and the pages load like I am back on dialup. No way! I think SnoWest has already lost a bunch of people. Definitely not the people or the info that use to be here.

Why pay when there are many other options. I think Chris and the rest of the SW powers that be will pull their heads out and realize they are about to make a huge mistake...... not only will they lose their users but the sponsors will follow. They want to be where the money spending users are at. Right?

If they charge I should be good as I should have a credit from donations I have made

I would consider paying if the price wasn't way out of line. I think that making it a pay site would weed out a lot of the couch racers/tuners and their stupid crap, and besides I don't think that other site would be SFW.

That's funny my parents quit snowmobiling 15 years ago and they still get the magazaine and have never paid for anything.

Looks like the vast majority of us will be moving on if SW decides to make this a pay site. Not a good idea SW, good way to push people away, might want to rethink your plan!

It's not the money but the principle of the thing. If anything, SW should be paying the popular members to stay. They're the ones who attract interest and keep people visiting the site.
