Shooting at Fort Hood

Twelve dead, about 30 wounded.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,572305,00.html

It started 1:30 EST at the Soldier rating and processing center. The main shooter was injured (previously reported dead). Two others were in custody but later released. Evidence indicates a single shooter now.

The shooter is a Major in the Army, a Muslim psychiatrist, Nidal Malik Hasan. The Major had been upset about being deployed to Iraq or Afghan.

It was a precise, execution style deed. So not PTSD, but deliberate act of execution per Major General Robert Scales (Ret)

The civilian police officer reported dead who shot him did not die, but she is in stable condition. (must've been using military 9mm rounds)

With all the wounded he shot, he obviously had to reload and had multiple magazines.

He had said some stuff before to other military (per a retired colonel who used to work with him) that was weird, posted some suspicious stuff online, and the authorities were told about it, but obviously blew it off

Prayers to the families of our soldiers!

THis is just another example of how peacefull the muslim religeon is.
The guy is a nutball. The military moved him because he was bad at his job.
Too bad they couldn't kick his but out, but the aclu would have had a field day.
It has been reported that at one point the military tried to toss him for his opposition to their military mission.

He was screaming some Muslim crap, Ala is great when shooting. I believe that all muslims can't be trusted. If you trust them, you are trusting them with your life. This is a religious war, Where do you stand? Would you stand on a battle field with your muslim buddies??? Not me.

This is not a religious war. It's a war against those that take skew the Koran with an extreme interpretation. I've stood up for Muslims that were discriminated against just because of their faith and belittled those that thought they were better. I will continue to do so. With a narrow minded statement that you made, I wouldn't trust you any farther than I would trust a fellow Muslim.

This would not have happened during WW2. We had real men running this country then. You would not have seen any of our enemy at that time as members of the United States Military. The Japs were put into camps because we could not take a chance they were here to help in the war effort against us.

Now, we allow our enemy to walk freely in our country, be members of our Military, be members of our government and obviously even be the President of the United States. What can you expect when the country is run the way it is. By a bunch of limpwristed Liberals. Liberals are OUR WORST ENEMY and they are running the show right now.

There is no doubt this shooting was Terrorism and guess who allowed it to happen. Our enemies. It will continue to happen, get used to it.

To me this guy, the shooter, was more like one of those kids that pack a gun to school and start shooting everyone.

I don't view it as a religious thing per se; perhaps it was the trigger though. I don't think it reflects on the Muslim religion as a whole, I don't think it was terrorism either.

I don't think he was some kinda plant by the WH, that is retarded and ignorant.

One thing these shooters all seem to have in commen is they throw out warning signs, but no one is able to pick up on them and connect the dots.

I am no religious scholar by any means, but the way I undersand it is a primary tenant of the Koran is destroying/overthrowing non-muslims (infadels) by any means possible. Maybe someone more informed than me can expand on this or provide proper reference.

Even if if this attitude is not expoused in the Koran, the sheer number and behaviour of the modern day fanatics that practice this religion should be enough to lift an eyebrow. There are certainly muslims that desire peace and harmony, but they are definitely not in charge now, nor have they been for any significant period in history. To say that in general islam is a peaceful religion is foolhardy, and is definitely not supported by historical fact.

Different news sources putting together a picture mindset:

"Hasan attended prayers regularly when he lived outside Washington, often in his Army uniform, said Faizul Khan, a former imam at a mosque Hasan attended in Silver Spring, Md. He said Hasan was a lifelong Muslim.

"I got the impression that he was a committed soldier," Khan said. He spoke often with Hasan about Hasan's desire for a wife.

On a form filled out by those seeking spouses through a program at the mosque, Hasan listed his birthplace as Arlington, Va., but his nationality as Palestinian, Khan said.

"I don't know why he listed Palestinian," Khan said, "He was not born in Palestine."
======

"Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor." That's what Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan said about America before he and possibly other Muslim soldiers at Fort Hood shot 43 fellow soldiers, killing 12, who were returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

"He said Muslims had a right to attack" the U.S., said Col. Terry Lee, who worked with Hasan at the Texas post, where the devout Sunni Muslim refused deployment. "He said Muslims shouldn't be fighting Muslims," he added. "He was very clear on that."
=========
" But details of his life and mindset, emerging from official sources and personal acquaintances, are troubling.

“Troubling.” And familiar.

At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades."

Wow, you are either very young, very dumb and or just love Kool Aid. It is people with thinking like YOURS that have allowed this country to be flooded with our enemies, the Muslims, every last one of them is an enemy of the United States and none of them should stand inside the borders of this country.

That's a very naive statement and about un-American as it gets...If Muslims were our enemy we wouldn't have went to Bosnia to stop ethnic cleansing. Get it through you're thick skull that America isn't a nation of Christians, is a nation for every ethnic and religious group that have the same basic ideologies that the Constitution eludes to.

The Pakistanis and Afghans are attacking the Taliban and Al Queada. We are at war with certain sects of Muslims. I wouldn't want to be at war with the "Muslims"...their population is more than a billion and control nukes.

If we lump them all together, it would be like saying all Christians are evil every time a Christian kills somebody...grow up!
