check out this video from a skier that triggered an avy in Alaska, was buried and rescued...all captured with his helmet cam!! I've read many stories and watched other similar footage, but nothing compares to this!!

Ever been dreaming and in the dream you want to call out for help and the words can't come out? That's exactly what that video made me think of. This guy got lucky and was out in 4.5 minutes. Could you imagine how long some victims suffer, struggling for air and unable to move or call out and rescue never comes. That is one sobering piece of video. Good post! :beer;

Wow, a place and situation that I couldn't even imagine being in.

Scary piece of video, you can hear his adrenaline take over and breathing get stronger, the heavy breathing and trying to yell for help when he hears voices but can't, you can sense the fear in him, and joy in his BODY as they find him as he still can not talk and then the crying for joy as he is found, a humbling video to say the least.

This would make an EXCELLENT training video, should be the start to all training sessions.

Wow thats unreal, don't show my wife that. She already thinks im going to die in an AVY.
I think I should spend 1000 bucks for an avy pack instead of making my sled lighter or faster this fall.
