There have been several requests to make the relevant "How To" threads and posts easier to reference back to. In response to that request I will be going through the sections and referencing back to any of the detailed posts with links in this thread. If any of you come across a thread or series of posts in a thread that you believe would be a good addition to this list, please let me know...

This list may or may not include a complete set of instructions on how to do the particular install or task that you are looking to do, but it will be at least a helpful guide to assist you in the basic process.

I plan to set up this thread identical to the way that Mountainhorse has set up the main "Useful Links" thread; a few words to describe the idea of the thread or posts, followed by a link.

Thread is now open for additional links!

Well I have scoured the 900 Forum, the Polaris Forum, the Mountain/Deep Powder Forum, and the Performance/Modified Forum and have posted anything that I could find within the last 6-9 months that I thought might be relevant. If anyone else has any suggestions, please feel free to post them. If they are buried within a large thread, let me know and I can take the necessary action to make it easier for others to find.

Thanks - 94:beer;

Damn, maybe you should try harder.:D

Nice work, to bad someone has to work that hard for a sled that was only made 2 years.

how to wire an led tail light

I made this wire diagram to help guys wire up their own led tail lights.

the relay i used is a automotive mini relay borg warner or BWD part number R4823 you can get them from most parts stores. they can cross that number to a number they carry. an application to use would be horn relay on a 2001 dodge dakota

i should have taken pics as i was doing it but i siliconed mine all up after i was done to prevent water intrusion. I also soldered all of my connections, even to the relay and used heat shrink to protect them.

I can't find an active link for the 2006 deep snow service manual for the 900 RMK. Anyone know where to look? Is the manual the same as the 2005?

there is NO download available for the 2006 700/900 service manual...only the 2005..

you can use the 05 manual for say 90% of your questions..

06 just has 4 injectors vs 2, fuel pump is 116psi pressure (8bar) and the 05 is 58psi (4bar)

and ECU is slightly different, and placement of the VR and Capacitor is different.

pretty much the same specs, and info for you to use though ;)

Go here: 2005 Deep Snow Service Manual

  • Wait for it do fully open (download) the PDF..... watch the progress bar on the lower right.
  • Click the "Save" icon (the icon of floppy dick next to the printer icon in the PDF window in the upper left corner) Then pick where you want to save it.
  • It will then download to your PC.
  • Its a backdoor way of doing it, but it works, The original link won't allow a conventional download.
EDIT: BIGGDAWG's link a couple post's up work too.

I thought this was worth adding:

Fuel tanks on these sleds are putting alot of pressure on the VR and it's wiring, as well as the ECU wiring. Lots of guys re-locate the VR to solve some of this.

I relocated the 2 fuel tank mounting bolts rearward about 1". After doing this, the tank will not put pressure on any of the above mentioned wiring. Just don't go too far back or the seat latch will become fussy.
I can't remember who to credit for this, but I think it was 94fordguy Seth, thank you sir!
