M1000 Turbo?

I am new to the forums, and am having a tough time figuring out how to start a thread.

Just Curious to which turbo I should go with. I am looking at maybe doing a 1200 D and D kit. I have heard a lot of really good things about boondocker and OVS, and a fair amount about Twisted Turbo's.

I am wondering how much horsepower a turbo system can put out and if the cost is really worth it. A good friend of mine was riding canada, and said that a 1200 Turbo'ed would out run a Turbo'ed Apex running 26 pounds of boost. I also read on these forums that a Twisted M8 put out 350 Horse Power at 4.5 pounds of boost. That would be awesome and worth the money. I think it was in one of the last threads I read.

Another friend in Seattle said that Twisted Dyno'd a M1000 Stock and then added a Turbo and gained 85 Horse Power at 4.5 pounds of boost. I think that would just be insane.

These are the only things I have heard about Twisted. I would like to get a set up Like what some of the Thunderstruck riders have. My other friend from Vancouver WA has ran into them at Turtle in Canada. He said their sleds ran Awesome Especially Brad Storys M1000. Who's Kit does he run a Twisted? He said he thought it put out some serious Horsepower.
From the way it sounds Twisted puts out the most HP. That is probably what Brad Story is running.

Sorry to start another thread about turboing a M1000, but the last few seemed to get a little ugly for my taste.

The only two comments I have are there is no way in hell that the twisted turbo M8(or any other TM8) is putting out 350 hp at 4.5 lbs of boost. I doubt it would be putting out 350 hp at 30 lbs of boost.

The only other thing is Brad is running an OVS turbo on his 1200. By the way, the 1200 that Brad was riding in Thunderstruck 8 is up for raffle in the General Section of the forum. FreeAgent is selling 1500 tickets for it at $20 a piece.

It's OK, but doesn't satisfy my hunger for HP. I want to know if I can get 85 to 100 HP on Pump Gas. If this is true then Twisted Turbo's Big turbo's must kick serious Butt.

Oh, Just got a PM from someone running a Twisted Turbo system and they said that at 17 pounds they can get 625 HP on a 1200? This kit must be what Brad Story is runing

Wow!! 625 hp??? The Dyno Tech record for the most horse power on a two=stroke is 537. This was set by Glenn Hall, on a Boondocker D&D 1200, at Dyno Tech. As far as i know this has not been beat?? My advice would be to ask for the dyno results showing the claimed 625 hp, anyone can claim hp numbers, make them back it up. Not to bash just saying, if you have any questions let me know, Thanks Diann

The guys name is product tester...maybe he has had a few:beer;:beer;:beer;but seems to know his stuff. Who is he? He sounds very convincing. That would be sweet to have a sled put out that kind of horsepower. Is this the kit Brad Story is running? I am kind of leaning toward Twisted to get that kind of horsepower. What is the cost of one of a Twisted kit? Is product tester a customer? I deleted his private message so I can't reply. I am new to the forums and really don't know how to navagate to well.

From what i can tell form you posts, you are about 16 years old and you couldnt handle a stock M8. Try getting some experince before you start talking about riding a 500 hp sled with some of the best riders in the world. Im i the only one that can smell the B.S

What do you mean? I am just trying to decide which turbo kit to go with. I am leaning towards Twisted. Should I not? I don't want to ride with the best. I don't really understand what your talking about. I only want to Turbo my M1000 and ride with my buddies. By the way, I am 37. I have a family and live in Spokane. I don't really understand why your such a jerk? Maybe your 16. :confused:

Im guessing Brad is running a custom OVS kit
 
I'm sure that I'm wrong... and if so then please by all means correct me, but I thought that Brad was running a BD turbo on his 1200T.

Blart: If you really want some good info on the different kits then I suggest that you contact them and talk to 'em. They can helo you out with your questions.

What do you mean; Am I for real??? :confused: Yes I am a real live person. Yes I am new to these here forums. And Yes I was told by not only product tester, but read on these forums that Twisted Turbo's made a M8 kit that puts out 350 Horse Power @ 4.5 pounds of boost. Does anyone know what the cost is for that kit? What Turbo does Twisted Turbo's run to get that. Someone said something like a 2560 custom garret Ball Bearing Turbo.

Again, I am new. I would possibly like to put this on the wifes sled, you know, tell her it is for her, but it is really for me. She would let me get it if I approach her that way. Especially if I tell her that it is Twisted, (A Twisted sled just sounds to cool) and that it will upgrade her sled to 350 Horsepower.:light:

Does anyone know if it works well in the trees? This is the type of riding she likes. She is one boondocking fool!!:lips:
