TEAM Tied Driven Clutch [TSS-09???]

SLP in conjunction with TEAM Industries is proud to announce the most advanced driven clutch in the snowmobile industry. The TEAM Tied Driven Clutch is an improvement from the TSS-04, in that the moveable sheave opens axially to the stationary sheave without rotational movement. This translates to no scrubbing motion on the belt face producing less heat and friction.

Additionaly all torque is transmitted through the helix, making clutch tuning much more precise. This clutch was developed using the extensive testing and design resources of TEAM Industries.

Benefits Includes:
• Instant Back Shift
• Improved Upshift
• Cooler Running
• Increased Belt Life
• No Engine Reverse Clunk
• Unrivaled Torque Sensing
• Helix Angles Typically 14˚ Higher Than TSS-04
• Greater Efficiency Allows Lower Spring Rates
• Higher Top End Speed Capability

Available September of 2009

Gotta wonder if the P2 has TEAM worried about their revenue stream. By everything I've seen and heard the P2 runs cooler and has more topend then the TSS-04.

I've got one to try on my Dragon next year.

The P2 still rotates the moveable shieve relative to the fixed...

Polaris is still not going to use the P2 on the higher output sleds.

This new team (TSS-09??) and the paragon do not move, they are "tied" together.

Team is also offering this for the Cat Jackshaft type sleds (1M and earlier) and the Doo REV and XP's.

This "new" clutch has been out in a bit different design for a while from Team Industries in the ATV sector.

sounds somewhat like a paragon..i called team and they told me 299 for clutch and 109 for helix..more info should be out soon

I spoke with Dustin Pancheri at SLP... sounds like a promising clutch... they are working directly with Team on getting a good selection of helixis.

Great that SLP is a "mountain friendly" vendor/supplier... that means that the mountain sector will get the setups that are needed.

Hope to see more info soon.

Just for discussion sake.....does TEAM or anyone have specific numbers on how much less heat we might see with this design compared to the '04? (assuming proper setup with both designs).
Since the belt must still "scrub" the sheave on the entire mating surface of the belt and sheave contact area (as it goes up/down the sheave), is the friction reduction very small? I'm sure there is a reduction but what are we really looking at here....just curious. :beer;:face-icon-small-coo

Of course there are a million varialbles that contribute to clutch heat, but typically we see a 20-30 degree reduction in heat from a dialed '04 setup to a dialed Tied clutch. The other big thing with this clutch is the fact that all the torque goes through the helix, instead of only the torque on the moveable sheave. The tuning on this clutch is very precise. It is very load sensitive, in that it will hold rpm in heavy (deep snow) load situations. Everyone that has run this clutch loves it.

Mark...

Post up some better assembly diagrams of this clutch if you can.

When will you be shipping.

Do you have list of available helixes yet?

Will the old 98/04 springs be compatible with this clutch.

I hear much less secondary spring force... will this equate to less primary weight and less primary spring so the secondary doesnt have to "fight" a heavy weight/spring combo in the primary ?

Will it still have adequait belt clamping force?

Clutch looks very promising. I like the simplicity of the design too. Great job TEAM!

Mseries will be available?

What about compatibility/comparable tuning charts for "older" sleds? Looks good but how easy to retrofit??

Clutch will fit AC and Polaris 1" keyed, Ski Doo spline, Yamaha spline, and Nytro and XP's with our conversion jackshafts.

Sorry, no diamond drive as of yet.

We will have our DVD/catalog out by Haydays and it contains all of our suggested setups.
