Basically, the State is out of money, so their raiding our gas tax refund money. This money is used for everything from new parking lots, to new groomers, to fuel for the groomer, the bathrooms, everything.

Subject: We are about to lose our state OHV Gas Tax. If you boat, snowmobile or ride an ohv this matters to you!!!! You need to act now!!
The Leadership in the Legislature and the Governor have reached an agreement on the highway funding standoff and guess what? We lose…we lose our gas tax money. The state gas tax that we get is essential to maintaining our recreation programs in Idaho. Please help us stop them from robbing our funds.
Call or email your state representative or senator and the Governor’s office today, right now! If you wait, it may be too late.
To email you state representative simply use the initial of the first name with the last name and @house.idaho.gov; so for Paul Shepherd it would be:
pshepherd@house.idaho.gov
For your senators it is the same thing, first name initial plus last name but then @senate.idaho.gov; so for Lee Heinrich it is lheinrich@senate.idaho.gov
If you don’t know their name check out the www.legislature.idaho.gov/who'smylegislator.htm (this is not a link on which you can click) for the information.
Or you can call and leave a message for each legislator at 1.800.626.0471.
Also, please send the same message to our governor: call 208.334.2100 or send him an email message at cedmunson@gov.idaho.gov
Make the message short and sweet: “I strongly oppose using Idaho Parks and Recreation gas tax funds to fund highways. This will cause great harm to Idaho Recreation. “ or “keep your hands of the OHV gas tax funds”
Also, spread the word and ask everyone you know to make some calls or send some emails.
