PVC pipe on skock apex skid

I have been playing around with my rear skid trying to keep the front of the sled down on big climbs. I am getting ideas from different people. One idea was to put something on the rear dampener/shock type things. Make it so they cant collapse. So I cut PVC pipe down to size, and hose clamped them on. The idea is to make the rear skid work like an M 10. Has anyone else tried this and did it work for you? Or bend anything?

Just run it through the stroke before you go ride.

I ran some pvc spacers on the transfer adjustment rods to help. I think you can only go approx 1/2" more before it starts to bind. Just get a fatty on the back and squash it before you ride to make sure nothing binds. :D:beer;:beer;

It will help hold the front end down but the ride is junk....I tried everything and finally gave up.

what do u mean 1/2" more? 1/2" pvc pipe or 1/2" of travel before it binds?

1/2" piping

I installed the piping above the transfer adjustment nuts where the white teflon washer normally sits. This makes the skid couple faster thus reducing transfer. I think you can only go about 1/2" though or the ride quality really suffers. Any more and its like riding a farken tank!
