Riding the Uintas 3/14 (with pictures)

Wow what a great day! First, I gotta send out a HUGE THANK YOU Ron, Jenette & Terry (I hope I spelled all those right) for letting me tag along today! I had a great time! The snow wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. Overall, it was a damn good ride. I am beat! I think I pulled up on to the trailer on fumes, and when I got back to Salt Lake and filled up my Blazer it took 19.5 gallons, and I only have a 19 gallon tank!!

So, thanks again you guys/gals, and Ron, here's to the speedy recovery of your finger. :beer;

What a Killer Day

Super glad I got to share a little piece of our world with you Marty. And Terri, your a regular now.

I will say that you got to see more area on a single ride than anybody else I've taken out. Can you say, return on fumes. LOL

This Forum Rocks, I've hooked up with so many peeps on here. Not one that I wouldn't do anything for. Thanks to all for a great year of riding and just plain azz good times.

Thems some nice pics boys. Ron, maybe someday our schedules will click again and we can get one more ride in. Of course, I will be breaking in a new motor the next few rides, but I still think I might be able to hang. Looks like you had fun today!

Thank you Marty, and Terri for making the drive and riding with us. I had a BLAST!!! Perfect snow or NOT, it is ALL good in my terms..... Thank you for all the pics Marty, I took my share. I just wish I had a pic of the hub doing his hand stand. That was a 10 in my book. Quite the dismount too. He sure can entertain me........ Sleddin peeps are the best!!!!!!!!!!!! Thumbs up to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I looked for you bro! We went the opposite way though.. Went to warming hut, crossed the creek behind it and just played through the pines all the way to those huge chutes. then crossed the draw and did the drops (they are big this year, made for my biggest drops thus far

) then across to double hill, and into superbowl to drop the cornice (not as big as it was last year) on the southeast rim.

By the look of the pics the snow was better on our side

haha but seriously, the secret stash was ALOT deeper than i thought it would be, made for some sweet downhill lines.

ps.. i almost totalled another sled on double hill again. that hill is cursed. slight nose heavy impact = foot slips off snow coverned running boards, and your hanging off your sled down doublehill, one hand huggin the seat and one hand squezin the break, doin about ninty mpg! Talk about good laughs for the people at the bottom, and one scarry ride for me

i barely grabbed the break or it woulda been endo'in into the tree's

We rode about 60 miles and found some fairly good snow too.
Stopped at Double about 2:45 for a hot meal and barely missed some entertainment. One sled rolled from the top and another took a nose dive off the right side into a very large hole.

Just missed it all by 5 minutes.
