well the last gas station with 93 that i know of in my area just changed brand and no longer has 93. Is it perfectly fine to mix a few gallons of low lead 110 av gas with 91 to bump the octane up some?

not a problem your plugs and wash will have a gray look on them from the LL100 and less of a black look.

Alot of people here in Alaska mix 100ll avgas 50/50 with pump premium. The best premium we can get in Ak is 90 octane. I run straight avgas in all three of our sleds since I hate mixing and blending all the time. To answer your question, it works fine. You may end up changing your jetting a little and your plug colors will be somewhat different than what you are used to seeing with the different additives in the avgas. Sure beats buying race gas, especially up here!

A friend of mine gave me a article that talked about using av gas in 2 stroke dirt bikes, and said that the additives that are used in av gas specificly have a harmful effect on the 2 stroke oil and reduce the protection the oil is in there for.

I think it was written pro currit or an outfit like that and it talking about the weekend racers, but wanted the kids to know that av gas is not turbo blue or VP or any other race gas its just avalible in alot more places.

Like said above, there are alot of guys using it up here with no ill effects. Love that sweet smell of avgas when I do use it.

AV gas

I have mixed AV gas plenty of times like theultrarider said.
Just get used to the different jetting if you plan to run that all time.
Works great if you guys can't get better pump gas octane!
