Start the flood pics...

This is what I have to go through to get out....

Several feet deep now...

Shouldn't be a problem for your big ol' Ford, right??

Water in Seaside is just starting to rise. I spent 5 hours last night putting a push-bumper on our F450 to push retards out of the water.

We're good here at the house... It might be getting a bit too deep for the mighty Ford though.... Going to check that out shortly. Working on the RC boat for high speed pass...... 25cc Homelite motor!

If the water over the road drops a little before 2:00 today I have to try to get out and into Monroe for an MRI on my back.
I'll take the camera with me to get some pictures of the river and lake that used to be our road.

I don't know how to attach video to the forums so I can't show the action shots of stupidity of some of the people who try to drive throught this deep water.;)
I'll have to work on that.

this is the corner at the hyak neighborhood, they dammed w/snow to keep the water off the road. It's quite a bit higher than the road.

Who would of though it would flood at the top of the mtn. I couldn't get to gold creek, they clearing dirt out of the road, i will check it out later, curious how the creeks are. A few housed on lower hyak are flooded and alot of the roads are flowing water, the snow just holds the water in.

This was about an hour ago from level ground in my back yard looking down to the lower portion of the yard.
The creek in this picture is about 3 feet deeper than it normally runs in winter.
It will have to raise another 5 feet to get the main yard wet.

That was an hour ago.

It's about another foot deeper now.
Going for a drive in a little while.

The main road out of here has snow berms about a foot tall in some places on either side of the road which is holding all the flood water in the road like a canal.

I'll get some pictures in a while.

Dam dial-up.....

I hope all of you up in N.B. get through this weather without your houses/cars/pets/toys getting damaged. You all are closer to the BIG mountains than I am, so you're getting the effects of the melt-off sooner. In about 14 hours, we're probably going to be at or above the water levels of the infamous '96 flood.

As the world's fattest Boy Scout, I tend to be well prepared for such disasters. In addition to food, meds, and clothes, we're sitting on 50+ gallons of gasoline (for the generators and ATVs) and about the same amount of diesel (for the truck, car, and excavator).

Bring it.

It's already started.

I hope Seaside makes out OK. I love that town.
I have property in Ocean Park, about an hour north of you in Washington.
We make the drive to Seaside a couple times every year.

Heres a couple more pictures of the road out of my neck of the woods.
I can't even get to the deep spots anymore because the normally shallow parts of the road are too deep this time around.

A little deeper looking at it from the porch...

The only road out....

Getting pretty bad out there. Town is shutting down and bracing themselves. For those that don't know, Bendigo is the main street when you get off of I-90

From the North Bend City Administrator:

There are indications that the three forks of the Snoqualmie have crested at this hour. The biggest traffic problem we are experiencing is from the overtopping of the levy in the Shamrock Park area and resulting flooding all the way out to Bendigo and South Fork Blvd. The City is in the process of closing Bendigo because of the depth of the water in front of the Mall. It is hoped that this closure will be temporary, but is officially closed until further notice.

Sincerely,
Duncan C. Wilson
