i'm still having trouble trying to find a bulletproof belt. any help would be appreciated thanks.
 
I assume your refering to the domestic twins ?

I understand they are prone to failure, but, if you change it out every other or every season they should last through that ?

give some more info ?

ttt i am looking for a part number to a gates belt. i think. there is a kevlar water pump belt for polaris that pretty much doesnt break but its been a few years and everybody forgot i guess...

Yea I had a industrial supply outfit check into it with no results either. Thanks for trying though. Maybe Fastrax or Slp knows.
 
Need the width in MM and the number of teeth!

The Belt was a custom order 50pc min if I remember correctly. The Belt is 265MM round with a 5MM pitch....If you get me the width and the # of teeth...maybe we can get enough demand to place an order?

I ordered a couple from a fellow snowester a little over a year ago. I think he was charging about $35 each. I remember he only had a few left at the time. I'll try to find his contact info.
 
I've been thinking about buying a batch of these. I talked to gates and they are special order, have to buy 82 of them (that's a funny number).

I bought one of those from a member on here also, has held up extremely well. Let me know if you end up getting some more, I'll buy one.
 
Ok, guys, I'm going to order these. I'm waiting on a faxed quote from Gates. It isn't going to be anytime soon though, special run, 8 week lead time they are saying.

So when they come I'll post something on here.

Way to go sled guy. I honestly don't think you'll have any trouble selling them all. Lot's of those motors out there.
