Just got home from Logan Peak

It was a very bad bad scene up there huge avy. 2 dead. Found them in about 20-25 min. Did cpr for 30-45 by the time life flight got there.
Jesse Johnson and Eric Jorgenson. Rip Buddies!!

Sled175, Where you riding with the victims? Can you fill us in on the details? I'm wondering what exactly happened. Where there multiple groups playing on the hill at the same time? Did someone go up to help another that was stuck? Etc........ I understand if you want to keep it private. I just think the more info the better and if it keeps one person from dying it will be worth posting.

My condolences go out to the Johnson and Jorgenson families. I hope you can find peace during the Holidays.

so sorry to hear

it makes all of us sick to hear of anyone getting killed in an avy. didn't know them personally but know they were great people. it could be ANY ONE OF US in there shoes. let all of us remember this tragedy the next time were in the backcountry and take this reminder to heart and make this the first and last to be killed in avalanches this year. RIP young men, god be with you. Snownman

Holy crap, looks like it broke pretty high up. I bet it left a huge pile up.
My plumber called me and told me Jesse was one of his guys, and Eric is newly married. My thoughts go out to his wife and family!

about where I thought it might be , I ve had my jeep sitting on top by the towers a few times, def not a place to play when the avy danger is high, spread the word to everyone you see down there about the conditions, sad time of years to have avy deaths been there and done it. Tragic christmas for sure, remeber their families in your prayers.
