Theres a solid 3 feet atleast! the higher we went the deeper it got and we broke trail the whole way! no other tracks it was amazing. Not much of a base though.. IF you go with Killerk we might be riding together cause I mentioned I was down to go this week if you guys were coming up to Logan.

Looks awesome! I am going to go ride the Paris/Bloomington area on Saturday. Will let you know. Going to be at the in-laws for the weekend so will venture up paris canyon for a ride.

Inlaws are all from Logan. Just got home. Lots of snow coming. They live in Paradise and wondered if anyone knew of the closest area. The only spot I know well is Beaver mountain area. I have four wheeled up alot of the canyons closer to town but don't remember alot of open area. It never looks the same in the summer. Can anyone give me any ideas? I am thinking of heading up there with the boys from extreme motor sports in twin falls to find some snow. We were also thinking of going farther south to SLC. Thanks for the info. Where is Frankling basin?

Man I am so jealous chris!
Looks great up there... Have fun today... I thought the weather would be bad so Im working:(
Looks like tommorow or wednsday will be the day we go... Just gonna keep an eye on the weather reports and try to hit the best day which is looking more like thursday.
Not sure I can wait that long.

The closest area for you would be to unload south of providence and head towards avon or mantua... Not the best riding, and may need more snow.
Next closest would be providence canyon... Not sure how much snow there is there and if trail has been broken yet.
Franklin basin is just after tony grove and before beaver mountain.

thanks for the info, killerk. I would definitely make the drive towards beaver for the better snow. They got around 10 inches of new snow while I was visiting this weekend in Paradise. I was hoping for 2-3x that in the mountains. providence and Avon are the canyons I had rode four wheelers up. Didn't look like to good of sleddin'.

There are some good rideing spots on the south side of Avon Road, you can get into some rough canyons over there and can get to powder mountain from there is you desire, I usually come in from Mantua but the trail SUCKS for about 6 miles after that not to bad if the snow is deep enough.

You could go from paradise to Avon pass. That is real close. From there I know there is a trail that will take you to the east towards Monte Cristo, or further down the road you can jog off to the West, and get in to some fun stuff also. anything you want, from mild to drastic (if you are in to climbing the shutes on the back side of willard, not me). Better wait for another snow storm though. snotel is showing about a foot.

we went up to the sinks on sunday and when we pulled in the parking lot we were kinda dissapointed cuz it looked like there wasnt even a foot of snow but this was our first ride so we figured there would be enough on the trail for a good test/tune trail ride. luckily for us once we got back into the trees it was awesome looked just like what M8chris found in FB. atleast 3 feet of fresh fluff and like he said we were the only ones up there so we had it all to ourselves. we probably only went 30 miles or so but almost burned a hole tank of gas it was awesome. however due to the lack of a good base we did find a rock or two but only one sled ended up with some slight damage(tweeked A-arm) other than that the only problems was keeping the kitty breathing, i was wiping the intake vents off all day to keep rolling might be time for different airbox.
