Max skid set back on summit

I'm just wondering what the max skid frame set back would be on 01 Summit
with 144" track? Looking to go to 156". Don't want to have to use rail extentions.

my buddy made the same sled fit a 162 with a setback, and he took and affset rear axle, and pointed it backwards. gaining like another inch and a half, and ran bigwheels.

PM motleydoo on here, hes the one who did it.

3.5 inches back MAX!

If you go more, it will be a pushy pig.

Get a 151 skid, and set back 2.5/

MARCUSO Has this one dead nuts--put a 151 skid on and set it back 2.5 and I would add 1 inch in height as well. Your track attack angle will be much improved as well and you will gain footprint when you put the 151 rails on, if you stay with the 144 rails--you will have a 156 with a 144 footprint still--not enough gain to make it worth while.

I took my '01 800 skid and went from a 151" to 159" by moving the skid and adding big wheels. I took the total length added (8") divided that in half and subtracted a 1/2" for the 8" big wheels. It wasn't enough, even with the big wheels I should've just went a true four inches. I ended up moving my 8" wheel adapters another 1/2" back. It was a huge pain in the as knocking all those hard rivets out of the support brackets. I also fabricated two more aluminum plates to go down by the foot well and moved the steel plates on the inside back. I think it would have just been easier to use extensions. It turned out nice and improved the approack angle and allowed me to run anti-ratchets, but it sure took a long time moving everything and making sure it was square with the world.

you can run anti ratchets on 02s anyway i went from a 151 to a 159 on my 02 with anti ratchet driver and used rail extensions super easy only took a few hours.

i am going do the same to my 700 but am looking for some rails i think extensions from a 136 to a 151 would be a little long so anybody know where i might find some rails would appreciate it.

In 2002, they took the 144 skid and set it back to work with the 151 track.
It improved the sled drastically. I would use extensions to 144 and do thqat very thing, unless your 700 is 2002 or newer.
