A little background, as told to me by Keith Twombly, who lives just up the road from me, and all around good guy. He is also 'bigsnowman" on this forum, but doesn't post very often.

Not long after the gates opened at Haydays, Keith spots Palin off in the distance walking toward the MNUSA booth. As he passes by Keith yells out "hey Todd"! as though one friend would yell out to another.

Palin stops and Keith introduces himself, about the same time there are four SS guys, with the welding goggle density sunglasses, and talking into their coat sleeves, LOL, immediately step closer.

Keith said he had 5-10 minutes uninterrupted with Todd to talk sledding, and motorsports politics in general. Keith added that Todd seemed very at ease and a super nice guy. Keith wished he and Sarah well and hoped they make it to Washington.

A few days ago, the S.O. and I said if anybody could get a 1-on-1 with Todd Palin, Keith could.
Darned if he didn't dissapoint.

i was lookin for him also wondered if he (figured) he had security with him

BD, he was at the AC booth signing autographs with the whole Cat team most of the day (so I'm told, I wasn't there.)

Later in the afternoon, Keith walks over to Cat with his 12 year old daughter, who also rides. After waiting in line, when its their turn, Todd looks up and says "oh Keith, how's it goin'?", never bashful Keith says "Just fine Todd," as the rest of the crowd in line are looking like "who the he!! is that?

Wish I could have seen it.

I was lookin... but never saw, although I did see a ton of people with McCain/Palin 08 stickers. I also would have figured he would have had a ton of security, But it wasn't a tree hugger swapmeet, it was a snowmobile swapmeet.

ooohhhh he had security! They were everywhere, you just had to know WHERE they were. Not sure how anyone could have missed them.
