Axys spindles and lowered suspension on a pro

I have been thinking of doing this mod to my pro since the used market is in the toilet. I love the sled and was just wondering if guys that made these changes like it or not, or if it was worth the time to do it. There has to be some guys out there that tried this instead of dumping there pro for the axys, thanks for your input

Thanks Justin.
Just shy of 600mi. With the drop and roll and AXYS spindles. I would do it again in a heart beat.

I don't think people understand how much time you have in that sled. I would like to build a second sled just like it. Girls just used up all the fun money for dirt bikes. Plus no shop time, "dad build us a track"

That will be money well spent on the girls. I built a 1.75 mi. Moto track for the kids. I know they are/were not down town getting into mischief or something worse.

Back to topic.

Mr TRS. You always build awesome stuff.

In the other thread you mentioned the PIA to blueprint the chaincase during relocate.

Did any lightbulbs-ideas to make it easier pop out after you were done?

George,
I don't know if there are chassis differences or not. I know you will understand what I am going to say here but thought it may help others. The case, when bolted in the chassis, did not allow the jack shaft to center in the offside bearing carrier. It was off center over .250". I used the old alignment tool and shimmed the case as in days of old. Then disassembled, added the Lords, and reassembled. The bearing on the secondary side also needed to be moved out .100" on the shaft, it was putting undue stress on the bearing flange tower when the jackshaft was pulled into the chain case.
Did any light bulbs come on? Yes, this is not a direct bolt and go option. You must take the time to blueprint it to your chassis if you want to eliminate rolling resistance. Without doing the line up, there is stress on the bearing tower, bearings, and your chain sprockets/gears will not run true to each other.

This mod worth doing without the drop and roll?? Would love to get the sled up out of the snow more, just using a 2.6" track and stock drive train. Is it possible to even do without the rolled drive-train?? Thanks guys, very interesting moves being made for the Pro crowd.

That looks like a nice power-sliden' set-up TRS. I'm close with the TS rear arm shimmed up different. Definately adds a new dimension to the pro chassis.

I'm looking to add clearance for front coolers and not track, so lift will come as an effect. While you were "bolting on" your aftermarket chaincase and needed adjustments, did it cross your mind It may be doable with the stock backing plate-dimensions?
Kinda like the short track Axys and jackshaft moved down into a modified tunnel front.

Geo,
I thought about doing it the old fashion way with the stock backing plate. But the bolt up, direct replacement, plug and play chain case had my attention. Bolt it up and go, was not that easy. With that said it works great if you take the time to do it properly.
