First, this install is very straight forward and the bumper was a perfect fit making the job even easier. The "lip" or "radius" support is definitely needed on the Pro/Axys chassis, I've done a number to this area on all my sleds and noticed I even bent the lip near the stock bumper on my first few rides. Well designed/fabricated product!
So, here goes...
1. Take off the stock bumper by removing the four bolts (two per side).
2. Drill out the two rivets on the "lip" as shown below:
3. Drill out one rivet on tunnel side:
4. Install supplied bolts though stock holes. Nuts should be on the outside:
5. Install three rivets though stock tunnel/bumper holes:
6. Back-drill though holes from removed rivets (steps 2 & 3) through bumper (running board lip hole not shown):
7. Secure rivets through these three holes:
Repeat process on other side - done! No more worries about the weak rear tunnel.
