975 pistons BATCH RUN who's in??

Gents I'm wondering who wants pistons for their 975's? Thinking hard of getting a batch made up but it's serious $ so looking to see who all needs or would want a few if I did. Might be the last batch made for the 975 bb as I bought the last (1) spare out there out of the last batch made so from what I'm hearing and have found in 2 months of looking there is no more out there people are willing to sell.
I know of 6 975's still being run today and probably more then that but if we don't stick together and make some parts for spares we will lose two of those probably this season to parting out making it more $$ for the rest of us later.

I'll keep this unanimous so PM me if you would be willing to buy a set or how ever many if I made up a batch. I'll go straight paypal if you feel more secure that route.

Maaaaaaaan...what's your time frame? If I can work it in I wanna see what I can come up with...if the house Sells soon I'm def game for a set. Lol

Not to hijack the thread but why did they stop making the 975 kit? Look at how many 9 hundos are still alive out there..... Carl's needs to bring it back
 
Carls has just moved in to the newest latest greatest as everyone tends to do. However the cat 925 and Polaris 910 kits still don't pack the torque and motor this 975 is nor the 1140. Polaris 900's just needed to much $ to lighten up and make nimble verse a big bore and pull go in the newer nimbler $14k steeds plus $7k bb kit.
Those 910 pro guys will be looking for pistons too in 10 years when carls stops getting pistons for that kit and moves onto something yet later n greater.

Shows you how much they like your. $5k in 2005 and. $7k now but not enough to stand behind it and supply product after something better comes out.

Too bad. Cause they make great reliable kits but forget what loyalty is leaving guys to figure it out after they move on.

There will be pistons but it's going to take 975 guys to help each other rather then car'holes.

Thank you for pulling this together.

Some tips... I've done some group buys before and these may be the key to getting an order rolling in a reasonable time.

Let us know these details and you will probably get an order.

1) Are these pistons you are ordering from Wiseco? (like the originals)

2) What would the projected time to have "in hand" for the buyers?

3) If you get 6-10 sets (12-20) pistons... what would be the cost?

Guessing the attitude about Carl's isn't going to help if you want them to help you out at all.

I ride a Carl's 910 from the big block days... they still help me out when I need it.

You, well someone who will talk nice anyway, might call and talk to Chris at Carl's and ask him what the minimum order you need to put together would be for them to order up 975 pistons.

We went through this with the PSI 1050 triple a few years back. We were able to get Wiseco to build the pistons again after they verified that PSI wasn't going to do it any more.

Gents I've and others have nicely spoken to Carls and they gave Wiseco the ok to release pistons the issue is the smallest order is a batch of 12 at $1100. $92 piston so finding enough people to keep it affordable. Please let me know. If I get 6 sets sold I'll take PayPal and make an order. I have only had two people wanting sets thus far so need 3 more sets called for.

B_Diddy did you talk with Jack or Curtis about this order? I am game Curtis and I were just talking bb kits last week.
 
So your saying $92 per piston?

If that is correct I want 2 sets (4 Pistons).

So 8 sold maybe 10 and waiting on some replys. we will keep this updated until its final. keep looking for guys the more the better.
 
So sixtysevengt is getting (2) Dardo (4) sold (4) privately and I'm buying (4).
If anyone else wants them they had better speak now or forever regret it. But awesome job and THANKYOU to those 975 guys that stepped up to keep the mountain sled alive. I'll contact you all sooo. To make certain we all are paid up prior and contact wiseco to be certain the prices are solid prior to collecting.

Bore cylinders to larger diameter and replate. Porting of cylinders.
New pistons.
Mod head for larger bore.
Mod top half of case. Allows clearance for larger piston and porting.
SLP 2006 exhaust.
Reflash ECU.

As I understand it Carl's Cycle and HTG were the 2 companies producing these kits but neither are actively supporting them or making new kits.

Carls will still rework cylinders and I recently had them update my ECU to the latest flash. The big problem with these kits are PISTONS!!!
