Oh, you are meaning the F-bomb ski mod. ? hahhahaa Rob strikes again!! I cant agree more about the Cat stock ski's. I switched to cat last year, and in no time at all I disliked the stock ski. So for my LOK or "lack of knowledge" with Cat I started messing with my ski's, trying to find a better hold on a sidehill. I really looked at the angles of the tail of the ski compared to the rear of the tunnel and or track. I trimmed so off of the out side of the ski, keeping the angle of the dove tail of the stock ski the same. It never really change the why the stock ski preformed on a side hill. So I started to get aggresive with the saw, Ill look for the picture of what I ended trimming off. If I remember right it ended up being about 6 inchs long and 2.5 inchs accross the dove tail part of the ski. With this adjustment I could feel and notice a huge difference in the way the sled held a side hill, but I must say it was a bit to drastic. I almost pushed it to far the oppisite way, the sled sometimes was a little unpredictable and you needed a fine line of balance. But what Information I learned about the sled and what type of ski I will be putting on the sled for this season was huge. This showed me what was going to work for me as far as ski type. so after all that, and looking at a ton of ski types from SLP to Simmons, you all know the list is long. From what my trimming experament told me is this. The shape of the Gripper ski will work the best for me.. Now I just need snow to prove my little test was a success. But I believe this change in ski's will work well for me. So yes if your wondering I sacraficed a brand new set of Arctic Cat skis for the cause..
