Who ties their sled down in an enclosed trailer? Was at the sno-park yesterday and noticed everyone ran em in shut em down and left without tying down.

I never tied mine down, just curious if anyone does?

Rob.

for the most part no, but if im going to drive more than two hours and if im able to because of other buddys sled in there then yes. so only far distances and if im able too:D:beer;:beer;:D

We tie the front down. I don't know that we really need to, but we do it anyway.

We used to all the time but haven't done this year. The sleds are packed in there so tight they aren't going anywhere I guess we could tie down the rear ones so if we did get in a accident (knock on wood) they wouldn't run into the front ones. There just isn't much space for them to move anymore with these 162" tracks.

Doo IT!

We didn't have ours clamped down, deer jumped in front of truck, brakes went on hard, sled slid into wall...now we have a dent. Just something to think about if you have to slam the brakes on unexectedly.

I Never tie them in the enclosed and (knock on wood) have never had a problem. Have had some pretty bouncy frost heaves this year in Island Park and a few hard braking situations with no movement of the sleds.

Never have....never will

before I had an enclosed I wouldn't even do it every time on my open 2 place.....

Interesting!

As stated before I never did it either. Was just thinking last night if you got into a wreck or had to slam on the brakes if sled/sleds might come through trailer.

Enclosed trailer....always have, always will....tie the sleds down. When ice and snow build up on the trailer floor, the sleds move around. Don't have to worry about them moving while I'm racing to the mountain.

WE ALWAYS DO AND IT SAVED OUR SLEDS! 15 MPH head on with another truck! the tie downs we trashed but all sleds where undamaged I hate to think what the outcome would have been otherwise. Its just to easy not to do IMO

Always Do, Last year on the way home from IP wound up sliding sideways through the median then on opposite side of the freeway and back into median all starting out at 70MPH. The sleds still shifted a little but no damage.

Im pretty sure there was a thread from a guy who just picked up his new Doo and the trailer unhitched somehow and the sled was thrown around the inside of the trailer. It was completely scrrewed with no chance of fixing.. Probably a better idea to tie 'em down and be safe then sorry as corny as it sounds.

I always tie mine down, my friend won't. We had a car pull out in front of me, I slammed on the brakes and his sleds hit each other. Bent his a-arm and he still won't tie it down.

We use packing peanuts to protect them during transit. Use a blower to clean them out AND they blend in with the snow....

Don't have anything to tie them to...

You all would hate to know how they 'tie' stuff down inside all them semi' trailers heading down the road. Yeah, right.
