Dump valve on m8T

Does anyone of you guys use a dumpvalve on the chargepipe to keep off the stress on the turbo when closing throttle? Thinking on the ones not using intercooler...

I ran a HKS on my m8t good valve simple just one vaccumm line tapped into the motor side of the throttle bodies worked great. It was located on the charge pipe as the sled did not have a IC. (cool sound too:D:D)

I've got a cutler kit that Zollingers put a bov on, very happy with this kit. Can't say I notice a huge difference in response compared to the few other m8t's I've ridden with, but they were all pgt's & this one is a RG sled.
If it doesn't hurt responce & will give me more longeveity out of the kit, then I suppose it's worth it.

I am running an OVS which has one on the charge tube. All is well until you have issue in the back country, then you get home and get to spend money fixing it. I would run one.

Do you have a picture where you put the vacum tap on the throttle body?

Bov

On a car the vacum for the BOV is connected after the throttle body... If not the vacumline would never "see" vacum, only boost from the turbo...

I just used the oil injection ports after removing the oil injection, if your using oil injection then you need to drill and tap just behind the throttle plate on top of the throttle body, I think its on top it has been awhile since I did an install with that set up. Some of the original BD kits did it that way.

^^^^ This is correct. on the kit I had I drilled at a 45 degree angle on the left side and the top of the throttle bodies, this is done on the vaccumm side or the motor side on a m8. Tapped it and threaded in the barb hooked the hose to that, and there is only one port on the hks valve, hook you line to that and your dancing.:beer;:beer;
I will see if I can dig up some pictures
