New XP Screens

New XP Vents now on our sled. We just put 5 new screen designs on the sled. What does everyone think? Good? Bad? Are we heading in the right direction?

Yeah we through on every one we have for the XP. If you still have problems getting airflow to your sled i think you must have a much bigger problem! ha ha...

Tell us about your intake system with the 9lb loss and 4 hp gain...

Thanks
Shawn

Hey Shawn, This is what Brock (my boss) has to say about the XP intake.

Well here is my take on XP.

We have increased intake area by 3 times stock, with the upper body intake screen, then the lower body screen which very important in that side angle pick up in deep snow conditions when all that fails we still have a 1/3 of all that intake pickup on the stock air box with 3 screens.
We made a gain of 4hp. By developing velocity in the intake air box. We are still running the alt hose in the front of the intake box & the temp sensor just in front of the stock air box intake.Go with the .020 shim under the needles, jet up as skidoo was super lean for the tree huggers. The SLP pipe & can is the hot ticket. With 5 hp top 10 mid 13 lbs weight loss. Run the belly pan exhaust side screen as it gets quite hot over there.
With our body work we drop 15 lbs with out the pod. 9lbs with the pod.

Your sled is suffocating?! I can't see what you mean! ha ha ha JK ;)

Well our vents would probably help if you maybe brush them off from time to time. The screen material we use would prevent most to all of the snow from getting inside but may become clogged if you have that much powder on your sled. That powder looks killer though!

Cory, I am a little confused. Does the intake drop 9lbs or does the pod drop the weight with all the body panels or are they both. For HP gain are you gaining 4 HP with the SLP pipe and can or intake only?

Cheers
Shawn

Honestly I am confused too. I don't get down in the shop enough to know about all of this. I'll try and get Brock on here today. The weight drop is with the panels and hood without the headlight delete. If you get the hood with the headlight delete it drops a total of 15lbs. The intake gives you the 4hp the pipe and can will give you a few more hp's. But yeah i'll try and get brock on this since its his project.
