My 2012 600 shift didnt have any mention about it either in the owners manual. The only way I knew was by finding this big sticker under the hood just above the clutch cover. Stupid sticker did not detail wire location, how many wires or what color. This sent me on a couple hour quest on the internet resulting in nearly as many opinions as the oil debate.
Service manuals do detail this information. I would guess all CFI mills have this.
From what I understand, you leave them unplugged when running ethynol/oxegenated fuel. Plug them in only when you are 100% sure you are running 91 non-oxygenated.
When in doubt...leave them unplugged and is apparently the safest mode.
I talked to a Polaris mechanic and he says to leave them unplugged and forget about it. His opinion was that the difference was neglidgible.
