I'm having a problem with my 05' 900 151's temperature reading. Last year, mid year, the eletronic gauge started reading err? Does anyone know the cure for this delema?

My bet would either be an open or short circuit somewhere. Check the connection and condition of the wiring on the thermocouple and connector, polaris didn't use the best wire for that.

Check it with an ohmmeter if you can... assuming you're talking about the coolant sensor it should read 2.4-2.6KΩ at 20°C. However, if it's damaged or disconnected it should just read 25°C.

I'd take it to a dealer, could be an ECU problem too.

Yes. The one displayed is coolant temp.

Exhaust is several hundred degrees C; that goes into the computer to adjust timing/fuel injection but isn't displayed on the dash.
