which risers

I am 6' 3" and my 09 XP 154" track machine will be ready for me to pick up in 2 weeks. I need risers so I don't ride with a sore neck all year. Should I get a 10" riser, or new bars with a 2" to 3" rise on them. Only my second year of riding but I know I need some extra height. Any opinions you have would be great.

10" risers put a lot of strain on a steering post. I'm not sure if bars would help eliminate some of the strain or not but it may help.

I see

I could see how the 10" risers could cause strain. It comes stock with 8" risers, I guess I will look into some bars to get the extra 2"-3"....RSI, FLY.....??

I agree with the above post, I'd feel more comfortable with a Small Rise Handlebar with a set of risers but I can tell you that I do not think you would have problems with the RSI 10" riser. The risers they make are unmatched in quality IMO. I guess it depends on how much you are pulling on the bars etc...

As far as the steering post is concerned, you could have 12" risers and a 2" drop bar on. Same as a 10" riser, same as a 8" riser and 2" bars.

I'd do whatever you like for looks, price, etc.

Actually, if your risers are 8" center to center, 7/8" - 7/8", I'll buy them off you. PM me if interested.
