What browser are you using? What version of that browser (top menu, "help" and then click "about").

Is this YOUR computer or a work computer?

Remember there is a difference between Java and Javascript.

try:
Tools> Internet Options> Security (tab)> Security Level Zone (set to Medium)

Then go to the "Privacy" tab and click medium there as well.

Click apply and then ok for that window.

They call it "Active Scripting" in IE. Can't call it what it is... that's M$ for you.

There should be a "Tools" menu with "internet options" at or near the bottom.
Go to the "Security" tab.
Towards the bottom there's a "Custom Level..." button.
Scroll down to the "Scripting" branch in that window. The first item should be "Active Scripting". Enable that. OK, Yes, OK, and you should be set.

Here's a screenshot of what I did in XP/IE6, but IE7's "internet options" are identical to 5/6. Click image to enlarge...
