09 XP X with RER, new to me this season and it's clunked from a standing start since I got it. Doesn't happen though if I ease the throttle. Can't remember if my old 05 REV did the same.

I thought nothing of it 'til a buddy with a new M8 (his doesn't clunk) after riding my sled mentioned it, and now it's got me worried. Primary was overhauled about 250kms ago and I always blast it with compressed air after a ride.

Should I be worried? Clutch or just ratcheting.... any thoughts? Cheers.

Not just after reverse. It clunks when I throttle and the clutch engages. If I'm really light and progressive on the throttle it doesn't clunk.

My chaincase adjustment is finger tight and backed off a bit.

05 REV. I can't remember if it clunked or not.

Just spoke to a friend with an 08 XP, he said his sled does the same.... nothing to be concerned about.

I rode my buddies M8, super smooth and no clunk. Maybe it is just a Doo thing?
