2003 power valves

My youngest rides a 2003 mountain cat 600...does not run right tops out at 55...took it in and the power valves were stuck and we cleaned them out but was told the motor that runs the valves was bad...anyone experience this..I was told it was around $400.00 for the part.. any help would be great.

yup your bang on, best way to check it is put the sled on a stand after a warm up and crack it open and see if it opens, it can also be cables but normally after running it for a while it tends to burn them out, I do have a couple laying around Pm me if your interested all mine worked befor removing

yes did that cleaned everything and they where dirty but problem still existed...thanks for input as makes me feel better about fixing them...I ordered one through my buddy at a dealership for 325.00 so I will go with that. Thanks!
