Power claw is a 3.0 pitch track you will have to change the drivers to use it! The Challenger track can be ordered in the Polaris pitch 2.86 or what ever it is?

Does anyone know if you have to change out the drivers for the challenger extreme as well?

I run the 2.5 extreme on the stock drivers..camoplast makes the track with both the stock 2.86 pitch(and setup for the center driver)or a 3.0 pitch without the center driver....I debated both the PC and the extreme..after riding with 09 M-8's and a dragon 7 with a camo 2.5 ..I liked the camo better overall in all the areas we rode(4 different areas over 4 weekends)and I have been very impressed with the extreme all season..very very good track...

Mike,

Are the 2011's going to have the same drivers though?

same driver setup...different shaft...I am told AVID is already working on drivers for them...If I get a pro I will slap a 2.5 or 3 in extreme under it with stock drivers..have had good luck with mine....am thinking of doing a D&R as well(I need to measure but I think the dragon chaincase should be a pretty simple D&R on the pro chassis...)

Is there enough clearance for the 3 inch?

not without a D&R..mine will take a 3 right now and still have almost 5/8 clearence at the tightest point...(mine has a full 1 and 1/16 with the 2.5 on it now...)I think MH did mention the 2.5 would fit with good clearence on the pro though(slightly more clearence then the raw)...

The weight diff is about 9 lbs. with the 3.0" pitch 162" CE 2.5"

10 lbs in a 2.86" pitch 163" CE 2.5"

eric the shaft is different on the pro as well right? but stock as shipped the 2.5 should be a bolt on with better clearence then the raw sleds also...

i don't think so. i think you still need to drop to 7 tooth drivers with the ce2.5 and then you could have slightly more clearance than with the stock setup.

3" lug 15" wide?

Just curious. Any new info on a 3" lug 15" wide track? 16" wide isnt going to fit in a 08-10 stock tunnel unless you cut the width down. Is the 2011 tunnel wider? Have only heard of 3" lugs on 16" wide track.

AK... the clearance is the same as the current RAW chassis... to get more clearance, as 'vida said... you would go to 7 tooth 3" pitch drivers and a 156 or 162 CE 2.5"

14eer, the The 3" 162 & 174 are supposed to be out this summer ... AND, Robbie at Avid said he Might be making a billet extended chaincase for this thing... It will be a pricey upgrade... about $1100 for the track at discount and prob $800-ish for the case/cover.

thanks MH, I thought someone had said they had slightly more then the raws did...I would D&R mine anyways... my raw works much better then my friends with just 7 tooth drivers....both running the extreme 2.5...
MH do you know what the difference in C to C on the new chaincase vrs the raw case?
