The idlers are on there tight! It is easiest to pull the skid out and drive the wheels off by using a flat bar against the bearing race. I made a puller with a couple of tough flat bars for the first one I did, after that I just pulled the skid and drove them off. You might want to get your rear shocks re-calibrated at the same time. They need to be more progressional, offering more resistance from bottoming out.

I'd put a kit on. You're not to likely to stab a track normaly, but the tips do tip down when the susp, gets compressed. It would really suck to stab one!
