Machining primary clutch?

Is it possible, or has anyone machined a 30mm primary clutch to be 33mm to fit a 700 crank? I have a good 8.5" 30mm primary I'd like to use with my 700 motor instead of my 8" primary.

It would be possible, but it would cost more than a new clutch to have it done because of the taper. The bores are cast on the new clutch.

I am running a comet 4-pro 33mm primary on my 900. Started out as a 30mm. Works very well.

Like racinstation said. If you have to pay someone to cut the taper you might be better just getting a new clutch or at least the fixed sheave.

The 4-pro I have, the guy had a machine shop and did the work himself. Did a great job. Probably the best clutch I have ever had on that 900.
