I need some info on a good brand of can for my 2005 King Cat. I don't want to lose any horsepower but want it to SCREAM!!! And opinions would be great. New to sleds so just need to know which brand will make it nice and loud as I'm climbing Widowmaker!!

I like a good sounding sled but we get grief from the green people about how the noise scares the animals at 9K in jan.

Go with a dnd can off a m1000 do some slight mount changes you can make it front dump no more bog turning right.Get the y pipe while your at it sounds deep and not annoyingly loud.

get a Y pipe first, keep the stock pipe and pick up an MBRP can...or go with jawsD pipes with stingers

I've had both D&D and SLP.

D&D is farely quiet, but in my opinion has a nicer sound.
SLP is 2 lbs lighter than D&D, ceramic coated and a bit louder.

I use a cutlers can on my 05' KC EFI its a little louder and deeper and it feels snappier, but not too loud. I ride past the greeners on their skinny skis and it doesnt seem to bother them too much as long as I stay out of it. BTW is the "Y" pipe all its cracked up to be? Ive heard mixed reviews.

Go with Cutler, Deep sound and throaty. Others have taken the stock "Y" and removed the 2.375" reducer ring, Then cut out the "V" area where it comes together and welded it back up. Supposedly does the same as the aftermarket "Y"? The larger the CC the more the "Y" will help. On a 700 forget it!
