Im looking for a mesh/fabric hood for a 2003 900 mc or any ideas on how to build one

all from home depot 90 buck and 4 hours
Next time i would make the center taller and more in a V to help shed the snow.
the outer frame is 1/2 tube and the straps over the top and 3/4 x 1/8 aluminum one rivet per cross section to assemble and one more rivet per cross to hold the pet screen mesh on. weighs 6.5 lb with tack and headlight total saving of 11Lbs off the stocker.

Nice job. Looks great. Think I'll do the same. Beats $500+ for a name brand.

just fyi I had a difficult time with a mesh hood in colorado with the fine power snow that we have. I'm not sure where you are from but I had a R&M hood, It was nice for spring but did not work the best while I was out riding powder.
