power claw

on my 04 900 I had to change to 162 rails and rail tips, and 3.0 extro drivers for an 05 king, I also put on sled junkys drop brackets. The track helped the sled a lot.

What track and what length are you running now? For sure you will have to shave off every other nub as stated in a previous post.

You probably have enough adjustment to get the 153 in there with out rail extensions. Maybe just bigger wheels in the back to eat up a tiny bit of track. You will need to change your drivers to 3.0 drivers. If you get stock king cat drivers you wont have to shave the nubs off. If you get aftermarket drivers you will need to shave them off.

No, It will only eat up a 1" of adjustment, I would add the 8" wheels which will eat up another 2" and will put you back to roughly the same position!

Will it not make a differnce what year sled this is? I would have thought in the pre- 03.5 800s that tunnel and bulkhead clearance woud be an issue. Some curiosity as I'm pondering doing this same thinig on an 03.5 900 1M.

Could be a clearance issue if the cooler lines run down the under side of the tunnel. If your track has notched paddles you are going to have a clearance issue. Droping the front of the skid and some sort of drop bracket in back may take care of it, not sure.

If it is an 03.5 you should be fine, The 03's and earlier would have a problem! I have a 03.5 and it is the same as the King, Plenty of tunnel clearance even with the 10 tooth drivers. The Avid setup would be the way to go as long as they don't drive off the outer cog, Inners only and extroverts thru the track clips!
