RSI riders Sweep the Pro Podium at Hayward ISOC National

The AMSOIL National Snocross Challenge took the
series to a great new venue in Hayward, Wisconsin
with a solid crowds and great racing all weekend.

Saturday would bring weather typical of Lake Geneva
with a sunny and warm afternoon. But when the sun
went down and the lights came on the action truly
heated up with an exciting Pro Super Stock final! Out
of the holeshot, TJ Gulla claimed the lead20with class
leader Levi LaVallee in third. Just after the finish line
on the first lap, DJ Eckstrom was hit by another sled
which brought out the red flag. The tension increased
as the Hentges Racing duo was forced to attempt
another holeshot.

On the second start a determined TJ Gulla battled to
get his National Guard Polaris back to the front again
and he would never look back as he led the entire
race and claimed the first pro final of the weekend.
Levi did not fare as well on the restart and was
charging through the pack when a competitor landed
on and broke his shock which ended his day and his
17 point lead in the Pro Super Stock class vanished to
bring him tied for the lead going into Lake Geneva.

Sunday proved to be another great aft ernoon for the
National Guard Polaris team in the Pro Open final as
Brett Bender came out of the first corner in second
place behind Yamaha's Ian Hayden. Brett stayed on
his bumper and continued to put up consistent laps
trying to find a way by. Robbie Malinoski managed to
work his way by Brett and Ian to take the lead but Brett
stayed after both of them and closed the gap each lap
and with two laps to go Brett put his National Guard
Polaris in front for good! Bender kept his consistency
throughout the race and picked the perfect spots to
make his moves. Tom Rager was heard saying "It
was the best Pro Race I have ever seen", a solid
statement coming from the Polaris Race Director.
Congratulations to Brett Bender and the team as Brett
has won the last two Pro Open races and shot up in
the standings!

Hentges Team Manager Tim Bender said
afterwards "Our National Guard Polaris IQ's worked
great all weekend with a lot of help from several
sources. Our Heel Clicker clutching and V-Force
Reeds getting us the holeshots to our SLP pipes
getting us the power down the straights to our Fox
shocks and C&A skis getting us over the bumps and
around the corners, to our RSI handlebar systems makeing
our sleds handle better than the competition"

The final Round in Lake Geneva will be very exciting
as Levi is tied for the Pro Stock National points lead
and Hentges Racing is 1,2,3 in Pro Open points with
TJ, Levi and Brett respectively. Bobby LePage is also
in second place in Semi Pro Open points and
everyone is looking to finish strong. So if you plan to
be near Lake Geneva on the weekend of March 21-22,
come to the Grand Geneva Resort as it is sure is
shaping up to be an exciting finale!
